Stephanie O’Rourk, CPA, is a partner at CohnReznick who leads the efforts of the Firm’s Hospitality Industry Practice in our Atlanta office. With more than 20 years of public accounting experience in both audit and tax, Stephanie has worked closely with entrepreneurs, advising her clients on best practices and tax efficient strategies. Her clients consider her a trusted business advisor and value her experienced insights and business acumen.
Having worked with several of the nation’s leading hospitality growth concepts, Stephanie oversees the Firm’s nationwide initiative on emerging concept companies and operational consulting. She specializes in businesses that operate one to 30units. Stephanie has helped implement best practices and industry standard reporting and financial controls for numerous hospitality companies. She leverages her knowledge of the various technologies available to the industry to help clients achieve their goals.
Her experiences have helped her develop an in-depth understanding of the tax code and the challenges and opportunities that exist in the hospitality industry. Working closely with other leaders in the Hospitality Industry Practice, she has assisted clients in restructuring their businesses in an efficient manner in order to best maximize tax benefits, improve profitability and cash flow, implement incentive compensation programs, obtain financing, and negotiate lending terms, as well as position their companies for liquidity events.
Stephanie has helped developed our Profit Enhancement Programs and cash flow management systems, which allow companies to run efficiently and to maximize their profitability. Used properly, these programs provide operators with a road map for their financial success and forecast their cash needs as their companies continue to grow.
In 2016, Stephanie was appointed to the advisory board of Nosh Talks, an organized she helped found that is dedicated to producing content-based events focused on restaurants, their operations and business practices. Stephanie was selected as one of the Top 50 Women in Business and was featured among Long Island’s Who’s Who of Women in Professional Services by Long Island Business News in 2011.

Phil McDonough is a Managing Director and principal of Capital Growth Advisors, LLC (“CapGrow®”). He directs the firm’s consulting services, providing exceptional assistance to businesses in the QSR/casual dining industry. Clients involved in merger and acquisition activity and valuations find Phil’s expertise and service invaluable. Phil has more than 22 years of finance, loan origination and advisory experience.
During the last ten years, he has worked exclusively in the QSR/casual dining industry. He has successfully completed more than $250 million in new loans for more than 13 restaurant concepts and participated in more than 25 merger and acquisition transactions.
Prior to joining CapGrow®, Phil served as Managing Director for Captec Strategic Advisors and as Regional Marketing Vice President for Captec Financial Group. He served as Marketing Vice President for Franchise Mortgage Acceptance Corp. from 1996 to 2000. From 1986 to 1996, Phil provided corporate finance services and loan origination to middle market corporations for Fleet Financial and National Westminster Bank.
Phil serves on the Board of Advisors to several clients including one of the largest Taco Bell/KFC franchisees in the country.
